In-house support specialists

At Glasgow Medical Rooms, we are fortunate to have on board support specialists including a qualified clinical psychologist, counsellor and hypnotherapist who are available to help you with any issues.

Counselling, psychology and hypnotherapy sessions at Glasgow Medical Rooms are designed flexibly to suit your needs, and above all are confidential and non-judgemental. Whatever the reason for seeking counselling, we can help.

Our Counsellors and Psychologists

Dr Yvonne McNeill is our Clinical Psychologist, with over 15 years’ experience treating a wide range of psychological issues in both children and adults. Her qualifications include a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Masters degree in Psychological Medicine as well as being registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Our fully qualified Counsellor, Alison Rimell offers long and short-term individual counselling to adults aged 17 and above. Alison is registered with the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists), has a Postgraduate Diploma in Person Centred Counselling and further training in Gestalt Psychotherapy.

All you have to do is get in touch with us and make an appointment to discuss your worries and needs. From there, you will be able to work with either Alison or Yvonne in our city centre practice to create sessions which are conducive to you and your wellbeing.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is now being offered at Glasgow Medical Rooms. Headed up by Dr Fiona McLeod, she is a trained GP with nearly 20 years experience but now works full time in hypnotherapy. As well as hypnosis, she also uses EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique, or tapping) and EMI Plus (Eye Movement Integration) with clients.
