Glasgow Medical Rooms is an award-winning private healthcare clinic based in the heart of Glasgow City. Founded by Dr Sheila O’Neil (MBChB DRCOG MRCGP ) in 2016, GMR focuses on providing patients with compassionate and personalised healthcare. From the 13th of September 2022, Glasgow Medical Rooms will welcome Dr Fiona O’Donoghue to head up its first menopause clinic, which is dedicated to helping people understand and manage menopause better. With over 25 years of specialist menopause experience, Dr Fiona O’Donoghue has previously worked in the UK’s first dedicated menopause clinic and is a member of the British Menopause Society.

GMR’s menopause clinic approaches managing menopause holistically, viewing it as a positive transition that all women will face during their lives. Striking a balance between pharmacological and non-pharmacological alternatives is the clinic’s goal. GMR has brought together an expert team of doctors, physiotherapists, nutritionists, psychologists and personal trainers to provide a holistic and long-term approach to treating the symptoms of those experiencing menopause and peri-menopause.

Through her years of experience, Dr Fiona O’Donoghue has come to understand that there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to menopause and that each patient requires an individual approach. With decades spent working within the NHS as a GP, Dr Fiona O’Donoghue has identified an area that deserves a patient-centred and modern approach. The team at Glasgow Medical Rooms aim to maximise the mental and physical well-being of patients experiencing menopause to provide a comprehensive healthcare plan.
