Dr Katerina Vasilaki, a registered Dietitian and CliniKaterinacal Nutritionist, will be running weight management clinics and provide support and scientific-based nutritional solutions to medical issues.

Dr Katerina Vasilaki is a registered dietitian with the Health and Care Professions Council (UK) and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (former American Dietetic Association). She has worked in the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as a specialist rotational dietitian in weight management, gastroenterology and general medicine and, until October 2014, she worked as a research dietitian looking into the optimisation of nutritional support in patients with pancreatic cancer.

Treatment will be individualised to each person’s needs and health background and some of the services on offer are:

  • Gastrointestinal disease: Irritable bowel syndrome (low-FODMAP diet), GI reflux, Coeliac disease (gluten-free diet)
  • Weight management
  • Weight loss (nutrition support and food fortification techniques)
  • Cardiovascular disease: High blood pressure (DASH diet), Metabolic syndrome, High cholesterol, Heart disease prevention (Mediterranean diet)
  • Body composition analysis for both standard and athletic body types (by TANITA BC-analyser)

We can also provide face to face appointments for emergencies, these will be subject to triage first.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Testing

At the present time we do not offer Covid-19 testing as part of our private GP service.

Following on from the letter circulated on behalf of Scottish Government to all independent healthcare services, we have been advised that private COVID-19 testing is regarded as non-essential and elective and must not be undertaken at this time.

If you have an appointment please continue to attend the Clinic as normal unless we advise otherwise or if you have coronavirus symptoms.
