We are very excited to bring this new Psychiatry service to Glasgow Medical Rooms which recognises the importance of spending quality time, listening, assessing and ultimately delivering the right care for our clients. Limewood Psychiatry are happy to see a range of psychiatric conditions and are confident that our clients will benefit from the specialist expertise of their clinicians.

How it works

We will book you in for a 30-minute face to face appointment with one of our GPs initially. If the GP feels a referral to Psychiatry is the best next step, we will organise an appointment with Limewood Psychiatry.

Dr Macklin and Dr Rasul are both currently NHS consultant psychiatrists, each with over ten years of consultant-level experience. They have a wealth of psychiatry experience, having worked in Psychiatry in Scotland, each for more than 20 years. They are members of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, on the GMC Specialist Register for Psychiatry, and Section 22 Approved (Mental Health Act 2003, Scotland)

Limewood Psychiatry are able to assess, investigate and treat all major disorders including dementia, depression, anxiety, stress, phobias, OCD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, psychotic illnesses, ADHD, personality issues and personality disorders.

Very aesthetically welcoming practice with a pleasant, friendly receptionist and a comfortable waiting room.
Extremely professional and caring experience with Dr Sharkey who made me feel comfortable discussing some difficult issues.
Assessment was thorough, I did not feel rushed and I left the appointment feeling calm, positive and informed.
Overall, a great experience, therefore I would not hesitate to return to or recommend this practice.

2 years on from my previous visit and the review below :
Again the service , staff, nurse and doctor provided an excellent professional service.

I was met with a smile and warm welcome by the girls in reception, while they remained professional during check in.
The Pre check nurse was very nice , easy to talk to , efficient and communicated well.
The Doctor continued this professional approach while being friendly, making conversation and the whole process simple.
If you need a checkup , work medical etc. go to Glasgow Medical Rooms.

Yesterday was my 3rd visit to Glasgow Medical Rooms since 2001for Eng1 seafarers medicals.It is always a most pleasant experience,staff are all very nice and the nurses and Dr Sheila are very relaxing and helpful,putting me at ease throughout what can be a stressful experience for some.

Had a great experience. The staff was extremely accommodating and professional. Also, due to traffic, I was late to the appointment and yet they stayed beyond work hours to see me. Highly recommend. A++

A professional and caring service from start to finish at the Glasgow Medical Rooms.

I recently underwent a lifestyle assessment with the incredible Dr Olga Morton. She was extremely knowledgeable, compassionate and proactive throughout our time together and has a real passion for preventive, lifestyle medicine. I was delighted with the service which focused on my wellbeing and has set out a clear bespoke plan going forward. The whole team were kind and responsive providing excellent communication. Thorough and Professional GP Consultation

I recently had a consultation and bloods taken with a Glasgow Medical Rooms Doctor, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. I recently used GMR for a DVLA medical examination. The receptionists are very welcoming, friendly and polite. The waiting area has a very pleasant atmosphere. I’ve attended yearly for this examination since 2022 and always feel very nervous beforehand, however the GPs are patient, non judgmental & professional which makes it a comfortable experience.

Get your ENG1 here. I cannot recommend GMR enough. This was my first time using GMR, and the service was the best I've seen in many years of seagoing. Highly efficient and friendly staff, and the whole experience was positive and swiftly done. First class.

After my second visit. Still first-class service with friendly helpful staff. I cannot recommend GMR enough for an ENG 1.
I will use nowhere else.

I used GMR for travel vaccinations which involved significant leg work on behalf of GMR staff - Ruth, Rebecca, Colin, Laura and Nicola - such as talking to third parties about my vaccinations and ordering in vaccines. GMR managed to fit me in for 6 vaccinations, one of which involved 3 doses, in the space of a month, at very short notice.

All the staff are super friendly, professional, hard-working and efficient. Exceptional! :)

Such welcoming and thorough staff. I arrived half an hour early and enjoyed coffee in the comfortable waiting room. Dr O'Neil was lovely. So easy to get to from Central Station too. I'll be using Glasgow Medical Rooms again and would recommend them.

This is the second time I have visited GMR & the whole experience was just as good as the first. Dr O’Neill was friendly & made me feel at ease right away. The examination was carried out professionally & competently & although I need a second appointment I feel a bit more relaxed about it.

Top notch care from Chris Wicks (Physiotherapist).He has been absolutely fantastic also considerate and very careful following my neck injury from a car accident and has made sure that i am being well looked after!
If you require physiotherapy this is the place to go!

Been having a medical issue and after a Google search I found this practice very close to my hotel. From appearance at first I thought I was in the wrong place because it seemed to me that it was upmarket. I was fearful that I would be sent to the public hospital but I have to wait 45 minutes to see a doctor. The girl on reception was very helpful. Very comfortable seating. And an offer of coffee or tea, not something I have been offered by other practices.

Healthcare Improvement Scotland is currently responsible for regulating independent clinics in Scotland.

During our last inspection we received the highest rating and were graded as “Exceptional” for Patient Care.
